About LightSeeking Pictures

LightSeeking Pictures is a film development and production company founded by a group of outstanding young Chinese filmmakers who graduated from USC, UCLA and Chapman film school. We aim to gather young creators who can tell inspiring stories of progress and hope from the Chinese/Asian perspective and develop original new-wave projects in both Mandarin and English. With main businesses in Beijing and Los Angeles, the company is now focusing on the development of several original feature films that will be produced in 2021 and 2022. 

About CIE

Chinese in Entertainment is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing events and workshops to support and spotlight the Chinese language and heritage community.

The feature program of CIE is the Los Angeles Chinese Film Festival (LACFF), which aims to uncover and promote outstanding Chinese language and Chinese culture-focused films, and to foster cultural exchange through screenings, industry panels, workshops and social events. 

Now, in addition to the flagship program LACFF, Chinese in Entertainment also hosts other programs including monthly Writer's Workshop, Speaker Series, and Mixer that connect up-and-coming talent with industry veterans. In the previous month, CIE has hosted a Pitch Session for young creatives to directly pitch their ideas and work to industry professionals, where they can receive insightful feedback from the senior perspective.
